Rocca Family Therapy is specialized in couple relationships and families, and works equally with individuals.

Lise McMillan, MMFT

I’m a spouse, mother, daughter, sister and friend.  I have roots in Manitoba, though I mostly grew up in the Fraser Valley of B.C.  I’m a bilingual French-Canadian, Scottish, Métis mix and have a very Canadian mixed-race and inter-cultural family of my own.  I have an Honours degree in Dance and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with a diverse set of work and life experience in between the two.  I love what I do.

The people close to me often describe me as patient and non-judgemental.

Available for virtual and in person sessions in Steinbach,

I (she/her) am a Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in relational therapy, with a focus on attachment, and trauma.  My approach to therapy is compassionate, authentic, and creative.  I work systemically, with an emphasis on emotions and believe we are all doing the best we know how to do, and have the ability to change when we learn how to engage differently with ourselves and with the people in our lives.  In all my work I hold the space for a person to feel vulnerable, yet supported while empowering them to look within for internal strengths as a foundation for the work.

I doesn’t shy away from any topic and am an ally for individuals from various cultural or social backgrounds as well as different expressions of gender and sexuality.

I can offer free counselling through the Manitoba Farmer Wellness Program, please inquire if you are a farm family in Manitoba.
